Community Foundations

Niburu Recordings is a not-for-profit recording studio in Enfield, providing a creative space where music and media artists can bring their vision to life. Because we are not-for-profit, all profits go directly back into Niburu London’s community projects, helping us support local causes that make a real difference.

We believe every person in our community deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive through creativity. That belief has been at the heart of everything we’ve done. For this reason, as a not-for-profit organisation, we are dedicated to bringing people together through accessible, funded workshops and events that support and uplift the Enfield community.

Since founding Niburu Recordings in 2004, we have had the privilege of creating positive experiences for community members of all ages and backgrounds, in a wide range of subjects and locations.

Music & Media

Music and media aren’t just what we do; they’re our passion and our purpose. As a result, our early courses focused primarily on music and media. Later, this provided a strong foundation on which to develop a range of health and wellbeing opportunities.

Our recording studio, based in the Enfield Enterprise Centre, has always been the beating heart of our projects. In fact, it’s a place where creative energy flows and ideas come to life. Although we started small, with just a single unit, a soundproofed recording booth and big dreams, we’ve grown into a lively studio space that feels warm and welcoming, where artists can record, experiment, and truly be themselves.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver supportive programmes that develop skills, build collaboration, and enhance wellbeing. In particular, we create opportunities for members of the local community through funded workshops and events.

Social Enterprise

In support of Niburu’s London’s mission as a not-for-profit organisation, all profits from studio hire go directly back into Niburu’ London’s community projects. Also, this money supports local grassroots music initiatives and removes barriers to creativity.

Colin Francis

Creative Lead, Sound Engineer and Film Maker

The creative force and inspiration behind Niburu Recordings, Colin is a qualified teacher, film maker, editor, sound technologist, composer and musician. Indeed, he has over 40 years’ experience in the industry.

Kwadjo Amponsem

Lead Sound Engineer, Media and Sound Technician

A musician for over 40 years, Kwadjo is also a qualified teacher in music, sound technology and performing arts. Besides this, he holds a degree in Music History. He describes music as a “hobby, employment, and relaxation”.

Jay Reigns
